Mike Wacker is a Montanan through-and-through – a native of Miles City, Montana with deep roots in his community, the state, ag-business and the region. His work ethic is a simple one: work hard, charge a fair price, do a good job, take good care of your employees and treat your customers like they’re the lifeblood of the business – because they are!
Mike Wacker founded Mike Wacker Trucking of Miles City, Montana in 1999. The business was initially established with the intent of solely specializing in cattle hauling: the transportation of cattle and other livestock as required by the farmer or rancher. This made sense because Mike had worked with cattle and other livestock on the family ranch his entire life.
Mike Wacker Trucking was, and still is a family owned and operated business. Of course, as the fine reputation of the business steadily grew, so did the demands on the time of family members. And eventually non-family members were brought on-board – after a careful screening and interview process. The Wacker family had worked hard to earn a sterling reputation for cattle hauling, and as a result had expanded into transporting grain and heavy equipment. Slowly building a knowledgeable, professional staff that understood how important customer care and satisfaction are crucial to the future of Mike Wacker Trucking.
In the past decade and a half, a lot of things at Mike Wacker Trucking have changed – but the most important things remain the same. The company now sits on a secured lot just miles from access to major highways and there’s a lot more equipment, but it’s still all kept clean – inside and out – and well maintained. The office is larger now, but it’s still family-run (and family-friendly) with employees who are eager to apply their knowledge and experience to fulfill the shipping needs of customers throughout the United States and Canada.
